Box Score MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State University volleyball team fell in three sets (11-25, 13-25, 16-25) to the No. 3 Concordia, St. Paul Golden Bears Friday evening in the MSU Dome.
The Beavers were led, offensively, by senior
Janelle Nagy and freshman
Shelby Spuller who combined for 15 of the 22 MSU kills. When asked about a positive take away from the night head coach
Ben Kaszeta highlighted Spuller's play.
"Shelby went up and got after it tonight," Kaszeta said. "She's been playing well for us lately so it was nice to see another good performance from her."
Concordia, St. Paul is the fifth top 10 team the Beavers have played so far this season and Kaszeta would like to see better performances from his team against tough competition.
"At some point we have to stop being scared of what's across the net from us. It doesn't matter if they're the best team in the country, we have to be able to play to the best of our abilities."
Nagy,
Kelsey Dewulf and
Cindy Pelo led the team with seven digs each while Dewulf assisted on 19 kills.
Minot State will play in the MSU Dome tomorrow, October 22, against Minnesota State at 6 p.m.
