FAYETTE, IOWA - The Minot State University volleyball team fell in four sets (9-25, 25-22, 21-25, 12-25) to Upper Iowa Friday evening.
Despite dropping the first set by 16 points, the Beavers battled back and won the second set to go into the break tied 1-1. Challenging once again in the third set, MSU was tied with UIU 20-20 before the final 21-25 score in favor of the Peacocks.
The Beavers were led offensively by
Janelle Nagy,
Brileigh Boyce and
Shelby Spuller who had 13, nine and eight kills, respectively. Nagy also had 22 digs, nine assists, two aces and a block.
Kelsey Dewulf led the team with 14 assists while
Cindy Pelo finished with 21 digs.
Minot State will play again tomorrow, October 29, at Winona State. That game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
