ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Minot State women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw at Northern State on Friday afternoon in Aberdeen, S.D.
The tie pushes Minot State to 11-4-2 overall and 10-3-1 in the NSIC while Northern State's record moves to 5-9-2 (4-8-1 NSIC) on the season. The tie brings a halt to the Beavers eight-match winning streak, but Minot State remains unbeaten in its last nine matches overall.
Northern State broke the scoreless tie in the 51
st minute, scoring on their lone shot attempt of the second half. Shianne Rosselli scored her fourth goal of the season off an assist from Stephany Estrada.
The Beavers tied the match shortly after in the 60
th minute.
Kelli Creese found the net, scoring her fourth goal of the season and second career goal off a penalty kick. Creese also became the career leader in matches played at Minot State as her start was her 79th career match played.
Minot State posted a dominant 30-8 advantage in shots and 7-3 lead in corner kicks over the Wolves.
