MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State volleyball team travels to Aberdeen, S.D. this weekend to play in the Max and Erma's Classic hosted by Northern State.
The Beavers will face Minnesota Crookston on Friday at 10 a.m. and Minnesota State on Friday at 2:30 p.m., followed by two matches on Saturday against #23 Northern State at 12:15 p.m. and South Dakota School of Mines & Technology at 4:45 p.m.

Scouting the Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles
Minnesota Crookston enters the weekend with a 3-1 record on the season. Kassi Green carries the Golden Eagle offense with 4.33 kills per set while Kaycie Hagen dishes out 7.08 assists per set. Kelci Green leads the defense with 10 blocks on the season.
Head coach Sarah Rauen is in her first season leading the Golden Eagle program.
Minnesota Crookston leads the all-time series with Minot State, 13-10. The Golden Eagles swept the Beavers in their last meeting on Oct. 15, 2016.
Scouting the Minnesota State Mavericks
Minnesota State comes into the weekend carrying a 3-1 record. Sydney Powell and Ashton Lee lead the Maverick offense with 3.29 and 2.57 kills per set, respectively. Anissa Janziq paces the defense with 13 blocks.
Head coach Lori Rittenhouse-Wollmuth is in her third season leading the Maverick program and holds a career record of 35-27.
The Mavericks lead the all-time series with the Beavers, 5-1. Minnesota State defeated Minot State in their last meeting, 3-1, in Mankato, Minn. on Oct. 22, 2016.
Scouting the Northern State Wolves
Northern State enters this weekend's classic with a 3-1 record on the season. Hailey Busch leads the Wolve offense with 4.13 kills per set. Ashley Rozell paces the offense with 11.13 assists per set. Morgan Baufield carries the defense with 17 blocks on the season.
Head coach Brent Aldridge is in his seventh season leading the Wolves and has a career record of 117-60.
Northern State leads the all-time series with Minot State, 22-7. The Wolves defeated the Beavers, 3-1, in their last meeting on Sept. 16, 2016.
Scouting the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Hardrockers
South Dakota School of Mines is 0-4 on the season entering this weekend. Mikkella Reese and Caryn Hazard lead the team with 2.00 and 1.86 kills per set, respectively. Emily Newton carries the defense with 10 blocks on the season.
Head coach Jenni Bolduc is in her first season at South Dakota School of Mines.
Minot State leads the all-time series, 24-20. The Beavers edged the Hardrockers, 3-2, in their last meeting on Sept. 1, 2017.
