Beavers Battle to Draw at Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Sophomore Sofia Lewis scored her 10th goal of the season and Minot State battled to a draw with Sioux Falls in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Friday at the USF Sports Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Sophomore Sofia Lewis scored at the 21:55 mark of the first period off an assist from Haley Berryman putting the Beavers in front 1-0
  • Sioux Falls recorded 12 shots in the second period and tied the match at 1-1 when Lindsey Power scored an unassisted goal at the 56:43 mark of the second
  • Sioux Falls outshot the Beavers 4-2 in the overtime periods, but neither team could get a golden goal
BEAVER TRACKS TEAM NOTES
  • Minot State is 6-4-3 overall and 4-4-2 in the NSIC following the draw
  • Sioux Falls held a 19-16 advantage in shots
  • Minot State owned a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks
