KEARNEY, Neb. -- Sophomore Karli Koza posted her sixth consecutive double-figure dig match with 22 leading Minot State to a 25-20, 25-14, 25-17 victory over South Dakota Mines as the Beavers finished day one of the Rosella Meier Tournament with a 2-0 record. The Beavers opened the tournament with a 3-0 win against Newman.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Minot State rallied to win the first set 25-20 behind three kills from Shelby Spuller and two kills each from Hayley Swain, Nicole Wondrasek and Jeanne Brenner
• Nicole Wondrasek had four kills and Karli Koza had 10 digs in the second set as the Beavers cruised to a 25-14 win
• Minot State wrapped up the match with a 25-17 win in the third set as the Beavers hit a blistering .419 led by Nicole Wondrasek who hit .600 in the final set

• Shelby Spuller paced Minot State with 11 kills
• Karli Koza had 22 digs to lead Minot State and has 32 double-figure dig matches in her career
• Mekayla Gurley also reached double figures in digs with 11
