ABERDEEN, S.D. -- Jordyn Cook, Jannely Rangel and Daniela Fonseca each scored goals and Erin Rafferty made four saves and recorded a shutout as Minot State defeated Northern State 3-0 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Sunday at the Recreation & Athletic Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Minot State took a 1-0 lead in the closing seconds of the first period when Jannely Rangel scored from the top of the penalty box with 13 seconds to play before the intermission
• Daniela Fonseca increased the Minot State lead to 2-0 with her first goal of the season at the 73:22 mark of the second
• Jordyn Cook capped the scoring when she netted her second goal of the season at the 87:14 mark

BEAVER TRACKS

• Erin Rafferty earned the win in goal for the Beavers as she turned aside four shots to notch the shutout
• Jordyn Cook scored her second goal of the season in the second period
• Jannely Rangel and Daniela Fonseca each scored their first goals of the season
• Sydnee Canales, Sofia Lewis and Audrey Wilson recorded shutouts for the Beavers
• Sofia Lewis and Sydnee Canales each had four shots for Minot State
