MINOT, N.D. --
Emily Falldorf had 14 kills and a .310 attack percentage and
Hayley Swain hit .400 with 12 kills, but Minot State had its three-match winning streak snapped by Winona State 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 25-16 on Friday in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match in the Minot State Dome.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hayley Swain, Emily Falldorf and Jeanne Brenner each had four kills, but Winona State hit .385 and edged the Beavers 25-20 in the first set
- Emily Falldorf had six kills and Hayley Swain added five kills, but Winona State broke a 23-23 deadlock with a 2-0 run to defeat the Beavers 25-23 in the second set
- Shelby Spuller notched six kills and Jeanne Brenner had five kills and the Beavers climbed back into the match with a 25-23 win in the third set
- Winona State used an 8-2 run midway through the fourth set and went on to a 25-16 victory in the fourth set
