(Minot, N.D.) – The Minot State University soccer team fell on Sunday afternoon in Winona, Minn. by a score of 3-0.

Winona State was able to get on the board early, scoring a goal in the 6th
 minute on a penalty kill. They would score two more unassisted goals in the match, one coming in the 32nd
 minute and a third in the 56th
 minute.Â

The Beavers were not able to score any goals despite outshooting the warriors in the match 23-17, and also having eight shots on goal compared to six by Winona State.Â

Beaver Leaders:
Sofia Lewis and
Melanie van Walstijn led the Beavers in shots and shots on goal. Lewis had nine shots, with three on goal, meanwhile van Walstijn had six shots with two on goal.Â

The Beavers play a non-traditional two game week this upcoming week as they play at home on Friday against St. Cloud State, and on Sunday at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
