(MINOT, N.D.) – The Minot State softball team will be back in the friendly confines of the Air-Supported Dome at Herb Parker Stadium for their second dome tournament of the season. The Beavers will host Minnesota Crookston and Montana State Billings on Saturday, Feb. 22 as well as UMary and Northern State on Sunday, Feb. 23.
The Beavers (4-4) went 2-1 in their last air-supported dome tournament two weekends ago including a 4-3 victory over Minnesota Crookston. In the early stages of this season, the Beavers have been led by freshman
Lauryn DeGuzman at the plate. DeGuzman has hit .519 so far with four hits, eight runs scored, seven RBI, and a slugging percentage of .815. Minot State has also benefitted from excellent offensive play by

The Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles bring a 4-4 record of their own into the weekend. UMC was the highest scoring offense in their last dome appearance with 22 runs scored over their three games.
Montana State Billings is 5-6 this season and will be looking to snap their three-game losing streak this weekend.
UMary of the NSIC is also one game under the .500 mark at 2-3 overall. The Marauders haven't played a game since they competed at the Desert Stinger Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev. earlier this month.
The fifth, and final, team in attendance this weekend is Northern State. The Wolves are 4-0 after a four-game sweep of Black Hills State three weeks ago.
