ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Senior guard
Max Cody scored 12 points to push his career point total to 1,003 as the Beavers fall 90-74 to the Huskies at St. Cloud State on Sunday.
Cody came into the game knowing he only needed nine points to become the 17th player in MSU men's basketball program history to cross the 1,000-point threshold.
After a slow start that saw Cody register just three points in the first half, the senior scored nine points in the second half, including a three-pointer that hit the rim twice, glanced off the backboard, and fell through the net to give him 1,000 points in his career.

The Beavers (2-4, 0-2) had four players score in double figures, led by
Jaxon Gunville, who had 17 points.
Max Cody tacked on 12 points and five assists and
Cam'ron Dunfee chipped in as well with 10 points.
The Minot State offense was impressive from downtown, knocking down 10 threes on 22 attempts. Gunville hit five treys for the Beavers in the contest.
How It Happened
After falling behind 11-2, Minot State went on a 7-0 run with 16:12 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from
Melvin Newbern, to narrow its deficit to 11-9. St. Cloud State answered back and added to its lead, leaving the Beavers down 40-33 entering halftime.
St. Cloud State kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing an 88-63 advantage before Minot State went on an 11-0 run, finished off by
Roman Srejma's layup, to shrink the deficit to 88-74 with 1:12 to go in the contest. St. Cloud State responded and outscored the Beavers the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 90-74. Minot State shot well from three-point range in the half, hitting six shots from deep to score 18 of its 41 points.
