MINOT, N.D. -- Minot State opened up homecoming weekend with a 2-0 win over the Northern State Wolves. It was a defensive battle all night as both teams battled with each other to get opportunities offensivley.
The Beavers improved to 8-2-0 overall and 7-0-0 in NSIC action following the victory. The Beavers eight game win-streak is slowly creeping towards the school record of 10 games won in a row.
How it Happened
Minot State opened the scoring when Sofia Lewis recorded her eighth goal of the season in the fourth minute, assisted by Sofia Galvez. MSU took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
The Beavers sealed the deal thanks to a score from Chloe Allan --her sixth goal of the season-- in the 73rd minute, assisted by Lewis.

- Maddie Kindred recorded six saves for the Beavers out of 14 total Wolves shots.
- Minot State totaled eight shots, while shooting 17 shots towards goal.
- Sofia Lewis netted her 50th career goal in the win.
The Beavers will be back in action Sunday Oct. 10th at noon when they wrap up homecoming weekend with a matchup against the Minnesota State Moorhead Dragons (0-10, 0-7 NSIC).
