MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State Beavers women's basketball team is preparing for a potentially pivotal weekend of basketball. The Beavers (4-8, 4-6) will play host to arch-rival UMary (3-9, 3-7) with possible conference tournament implications on the line.
Minot State is currently in fifth place in the NSIC North Division but they need to propel themselves up at least one position in the standings in order to qualify for the conference tournament.
The Beavers will also honor their four seniors this weekend including
Calli Delsman,
Haley Hildenbrand,
Wyniah Mintz, and
Bethany Theodore.

COVID-19 Game Day Protocols
Facial coverings are REQUIRED in the MSU Dome. Fans are reminded to follow CDC guidelines in the MSU Dome including; proper hand-washing, social distancing, and health information.
Fans and media are not permitted on the playing surface including the scorer's table. Attendance is capped at 1,000 fans and admission is free inside the MSU Dome. In-person interviews are prohibited at the MSU Dome but media may request a Zoom link to the post-game press conference that is performed immediately following the contest. Interview requests must be made by
email.
The NSIC will continue to monitor the landscape and conditions surrounding the pandemic, locally, regionally, nationally, and make any decisions or announcements, as necessary.

Series History
- UMary holds the all-time series advantage with a 33-13 margin.
- The Marauders won the most recent match-up on Dec. 21, 2019, by a score of 81-60 in Bismarck.
- UMary has won the last five games in the series.
- The Beavers' last victory came in the 2017-18 campaign with a 10-point triumph in the MSU Dome.
- Minot State is 8-15 against UMary at home.
Beavers by the Numbers
- Amber Stevahn's scoring numbers have dipped recently, but the utility forward still leads the Beaver offense with 14.8 points per game. Her figures rank seventh in the NSIC.
- Stevahn is also one of three players that average over six rebounds per game. Amber averages 6.7 RPG along with Anna Counts (6.6 rpg) and Calli Delsman (6.3).
- Kate Head plays another key role on the MSU offense as the team's premier distributor. Head averages 4.0 assists per tilt, which ranks third in the league.
- One of MSU's other Australian guards leads the perimeter defense. Bethany Theodore averages almost two steals per game with 22 total takeaways.
- In recent games, the Minot State offense has also improved their three-point shooting. Lucy Chapman, Kate Head, and Calli Delsman lead the way as the only players shooting at a 30%+ rate. Those three athletes are making bombs at percentages of 37%, 36%, and 31%, respectively.
Scouting Report
- UMary has two scorers averaging double-digits. Lauren Rotunsa is leading the Marauders' attack at 18.1 points per game with Lexie Schneider following at 11.8 points per game. Rotunda is the third-highest leading scorer in the NSIC.
- Rotunda and Schneider are also pacing UMary on the glass with 6.8 rebounds per game and 5.3 rebounds per game, respectively. Both of these players are in the top five of rebounds in the league.
- Macy Williams has been the most generous Marauder with a team-high 61 assists and an average of 5.1 APG. Macy has the best assist numbers in the conference.
- Rotunda and Williams are the leading stealers for UMary with 1.3 SPG and 1.1 SPG, respectively.
- The Marauders also have two players that are deadly from three-point land. Rotunda (44%) and Coral Gillette (36%) shoot threes at a very high rate.
