Kindred's back to back shutouts give Beavers undefeated start to conference play

ST. CLOUD, MINN. --

Minot State improved to 3-2-0 overall and 2-0-0 in NSIC play with the win.

How it Happened

Minot State took a 1-0 lead when Chloe Allan knocked in a rebounded header by Daisy de Boer. Allan's third goal of the season came in the 24th minute, assisted by Mel van Walstijn and Daisy de Boer. The lone goal proved to be all that was needed as the Beaver defense held the Huskies from scoring.

Game Notes

  • Maddie Kindred piled up 10 saves for the Beavers out of 17 total Huskies shots.
  • Minot State totaled two shots on goal.
  • Kindred now has two shutouts and 25 saves on the season.
Head coach Chris Clements had this to say on the Beavers weekend performance;

"Great team effort this weekend to get two wins on the road. We didn't play our best soccer and made mistakes, but kept working hard and defending with passion in both games. Proud of the team and the spirit they have to not give up."

The Beavers will next be in action as they again take to the road, this time to face the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State (1-3, 0-2 NSIC) Friday Sept. 24th at 3 p.m. They will wrap up the weekend with a battle against the Sioux Falls Cougars (1-4, 1-1 NSIC) Sunday Sept. 26th at noon.
