CROOKSTON, MN -- The Minot State men's basketball team had two second-half turnovers, and five total in the game, as they took control in the final 20 minutes and rolled to a 77-57 road win at Minnesota Crookston against the Golden Eagles on Friday in NSIC action.
The Beavers (7-4 overall, 4-3 NSIC) had four players score in double figures, led by Khari Broadway who had 15 points and three steals. Ben Bohl tacked on 13 points off the bench and Jaxon Gunville chipped in as well with 12 points and two steals.
Led by Caleb Van De Griend's three offensive rebounds, Minot State did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 17 boards that resulted in 22 second-chance points.
Minot State forced 15 Minnesota Crookston turnovers in Friday's game. The Beavers turned those takeaways into 18 points on the other end of the floor. Broadway's three steals led the way for Minot State.

"Road wins are always tough," Minot State head coach Matt Murken said. "I'm proud of our team to keep executing when we were missing shots through the first half. Good shots are good shots, whether they go in or not. We keep executing and built a lead in the second half."
How It Happened
After falling behind 31-25, Minot State went on a 7-0 run with 2:57 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Van De Griend, to take a 32-31 lead. The Beavers then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 33-32.
After intermission, Minot State managed to gain control and had a 49-43 lead before going on a 14-0 run, finished off by Cam'ron Dunfee's three, to grow the lead to 63-43 with 8:27 to go in the contest. The Beavers held onto that lead for the rest of the game for the 77-57 win. Minot State got a boost from its bench in the period, as non-starters accounted for 20 of its 45 total points.
