BILLINGS, Mont. – The Minot State soccer team rallied on the road and came away with a 1-1 non-conference draw at Montana State Billings on Tuesday at Amend Park.
The Beavers improved to 0-1-2 overall in their final tune-up prior to opening NSIC action as Minot State next hosts Minnesota Duluth on Friday at 5 p.m. at First Western Bank Field at Herb Parker Stadium.
Coaches Comments
"It was a good turnaround from the whole team," head coach TJ Perez said. "Even after the mistake, their response was great.
"We put everything on the field and created plenty of chances.
"Now we take this momentum into conference."
How it Happened
Montana State-Billings broke the scoreless tie when the Yellowjackets scored in the first minute helped by an own goal.
The Beavers responded to make it a 1-1 game on a goal from Daisy De Boer - her first goal of the season - in the 49th minute. Neither team notched another goal in the match.
