MINOT, N.D. – The Beavers needed a big effort in the circle, and sophomore Reegan Floyd provided it for Minot State.
Floyd struck out four in a four-hitter for the Beavers (16-12 overall, 3-3 NSIC) who bounced back strong to upend Saint Cloud State 3-1 in the second game of an NSIC doubleheader at the Air-Supported Dome on the MSU campus on Sunday.
St. Cloud State won the opener, 20-3 in five innings.
Next up for Minot State, the Beavers host Bemidji State on Tuesday in another NSIC doubleheader, games relocated to MSU's "Bubble" as Minot State will be the visiting team for the twinbill, which starts at 2 p.m.
