Minot State volleyball opens conference play at home

MINOT, N.D. – After getting their first win of the season last Friday versus Arkansas Tech, Minot State volleyball comes off a tough finish at the Lubbock Christian Tournament. The Beavers look to get things going this weekend against a pair of top-ranked NSIC foes. In their first home game of the season, the Beavers will host No. 6 St. Cloud State on Friday night. And then, a quick turn-around against No. 7 University of Minnesota Duluth in a Saturday matinee.
 
Last time they faced off, the Huskies completed a 3-0 sweep of Minot State. St. Cloud has 15 wins versus the Beavers in their matchup history. As for the Bulldogs, they also have had their way with the Beavers with 14 wins. Despite close sets, Minot State fell 3-0 to Minnesota Duluth in their last meeting.
 
The match versus St. Cloud State will open conference play inside the MSU Dome. The Beavers look to start off strong with the home crowd behind them. After that, Minot State will go on the road next weekend to take on University of Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State.
