GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The Minot State Beavers were not able to score a run against North Dakota pitcher junior Jackie Albrecht on Wednesday and were shut out 8-0 by the NCAA Division I Fighting Hawks in non-conference action.

Junior Reegan Floyd (6-6) started and took the loss in the circle for Minot State (18-13 overall, 13-5 NSIC).

In the batter's box, the Beavers were led by senior Lauryn DeGuzman who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double.

Minot State is back in action on Thursday as the Beavers return to NSIC play at Minnesota State Moorhead, taking on the Dragons in a rescheduled doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.

Minot State managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position. The Beavers last got a runner on third in the fourth, when senior Brooklyn Morrison made it 60 feet away from scoring with one out.
