Beavers’ historic season ends with NCAA Central Region Quarterfinal loss to Concordia St. Paul

TOPEKA, KS -- Caleb Van De Griend secured a double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds, but the Minot State men's basketball team fell to the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears 83-71 at Lee Arena Saturday.

In addition to Van De Griend's solid output, the Beavers (26-10) were led by Jalen Cook, who totaled 12 points, and by Ayouba Berthe, who added 13 points.

Minot State did a great job disrupting Concordia St. Paul shots in the contest, coming away with 5 blocks. Van De Griend's 4 rejections led the way individually for the Beavers.

And with that, a memorable and historic 2024-25 season for the Minot State men's basketball team comes to an end. The Beavers led by head coach Matt Murken pulled away with some incredible program feats, including a first trip to both the NSIC Championship and NCAA National Tournament.
