MINOT, ND -- The Beavers hosted their NSIC conference opener today against Wayne State College. The Beavers stole the first game against the Wildcats with a shut-out performance from Reegan Floyd. In the second game of the day, the Wildcats came out on top. The Beavers, now 13-12, return to the turf to host the University of Sioux Falls Cougars tomorrow for a doubleheader starting at 11 am.Â

MINOT, ND --Senior Reegan Floyd was dealing on Saturday, hurling a two-hit shutout to lead the Minot State Beavers past the Wayne State Wildcats 1-0.
Floyd (7-3) went the distance for Minot State (13-11, 1-0), giving up two hits, walking none and striking out four.
Offensively, the Beavers were led by senior Abby Lohse, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a triple. Senior Abbey Kelley put together a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-2 with an RBI. Freshman Sarah Misner also contributed for Minot State, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a double.

Offensively, the Beavers were led by junior Paige Kellogg, who went 2-for-3 on the day. Junior Raivyn Millions put together a standout day at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with a double.
