Coach Cole Edwards joined the Beavers staff in the summer of 2022 and brings four years of coaching experience to Minot State.

A Minot State graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Edwards also played two seasons at Williston State College (2014-15, 2015-16), which was ranked in the Top 15 in the NJCAA at the time. Edwards was also team captain his sophomore season with the Tetons.

A graduate of Des Lacs Burlington High School, Edwards most recently spent the 2021-22 season as the director of basketball operations and assistant men’s basketball coach at Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kansas where some of his duties included leading the transitions for offense and defense, leading the active recovery program for players, and assisting in skill development.

He also spent a season as an assistant coach at Bishop Ryan High School here in Minot (2020-21), and two seasons as an assistant coach at Our Redeemers Christian School in Minot where the Knights won the District 12 Championship in 2019-20 and were Region 6 runner-up championship in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
