Also played in two games for the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, scoring 2 goals. Began his junior career playing in 38 games, including 5 playoff games, with 6 goals and 13 assists with the Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL after finishing his high school career at Chisago Lakes with 21 goals and 22 assists in 69 games.
