Paige Wright begins her second season as a Graduate Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.
Wright is no stranger to NCAA Division II basketball as she played two seasons for California University of Pennsylvania, a powerhouse out of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. She helped her team to the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship and finished her two-year career with a 57-10 overall record.
She began her collegiate basketball career at Saginaw Valley State in Michigan before transferring to Owens Community College in Perrysburg, Ohio. She helped Owens to a 30-3 record and a conference championship with being named team captain in 2013-14.
While earning her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies at Cal (Pa.), she was a Student-Athlete Mentor at area middle schools, coached at Always 100, Pal Elite AAU and worked at the US Junior Nationals in Washington, D.C., as a court organizer.
Wright, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Sports Management at MSU.
