Jordan Aus

Coach Jordan Aus took over leadership of the Minot State track and field programs in the summer of 2024 after a successful and decorated 10-year run as head boys track and field coach at Sheyenne High School in West Fargo, North Dakota.

Aus led the Mustangs to region championships in 2021 and 2022, he was named the North Dakota state Coach of the Year for his efforts in 2021 and 2022. During his career at Sheyenne High School, Aus served as an assistant football coach, taught Economics and U.S. Government, and assisted with activity director duties.

Aus is a native of Valley City, North Dakota and attended Valley City State University where he was a 4-year letter-winner in football and track and field. He also was a 2-time All-Dakota Athletic Conference performer in the javelin. He received his B.S. in Social Science Education in 2014. In 2018, he earned his M.S. in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Aus has extensive collegiate athletic fundraising experience and was instrumental in the growth of the VCSU Football Booster club, The Oarsmen, serving on its executive board from 2019-2024.

Aus resides in Minot with his wife, Whitney, his son, Franklin, and daughter, Lena.
