Beavers give up OT goal, lose at Minnesota State

Minot State drops second straight 1-0 OT contest

Box Score MANKATO, Minn. – Giving up late game-winning goals have been a frustrating norm for Minot State University women's soccer.

On Friday, it was an overtime game-winner - the second in as many games - as No. 5 ranked Minnesota State earned a 1-0 (OT) win over the Beavers in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women's soccer at The Pitch.

The Beavers (1-5-2 overall, 1-4-1 NSIC) lost twice last week in late second-half or overtime goals and have gone into overtime tied at zero two matches in a row as well.

The Mavericks (8-1-0, 6-0-0) got the overtime winner from Korey Kronforst with three minutes to play in the first overtime. Minnesota State out shot the Beavers 30-3 in the match and held a 10-0 shots on goal advantage.

Goalkeeper Gemma Biasetto (So., Alburqueque, N.M.) was the lone bright spot for the Beavers as she recorded nine saves in the contest.

The Beavers will look to get back on track with another road contest at Concordia University, St. Paul Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
