Fargo, Minn. - Minot State University baseball team falls to North Dakota State University 7-4.
The Beavers scored first on a Celestino Rodriguez home run to start the second inning and didn't stop there scoring two more in the third on a wild pitch scoring Kyle Williamson and a Wyatt Schlosser groundout scoring Trevaun Smith.
"We played pretty well today. Played hard and played fast and had them on their heels until they had a couple bloop hits. We barreled some balls up and played good defense behind Brock today. They strung together some unfortunate hits at the right time.
Brock Breschers started for the Beavers throwing five strong innings allowing only one hard hit ball. The Bison scored one in the fourth and four in the sixth. NDSU added two more runs one in the seventh and one in the eighth.
MSU scored one more in the eighth on a Paul Vogelsang groundout scoring Rodriguez.
Rodriguez, Smith and Williamson led the Beavers with two hits a piece while Schlosser and Geordie McDougall had one hit each.
"Brock threw a really nice game today for us. They were able to string together a few hits on some really soft contact and put some runs on the board.
Minot State will be back into conference play this weekend with a four-game homestand against Minnesota State on April 8th and 9th at Corbett Field.
