MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State men's basketball team will finish the 2018 portion of its schedule on Sunday (Dec. 30) against Mary in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest in the Minot State Dome.

Minot State is currently 5-9 on the season and 0-5 in NSIC play, but the Beavers have compiled a 3-2 record in games played in the MSU Dome.

Mary won the first meeting between the two teams as the Marauders recorded a 65-58 win against the Beavers on Dec. 1 in Bismarck, N.D. Jaylan White led three players in double figures with 15 points to lead Mary, while Matthew Kreklow and Tom Kubank each scored 14 points for the Marauders.

David Akibo led Minot State with 16 points and seven rebounds, while Dorian Aluyi scored 15 points for the Beavers. Max Cody also notched a double-figure scoring game as he had 13 points, six assists and four rebounds.

Akibo leads the Beavers in both scoring and rebounding as the senior is averaging 17.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He has reached double figures in scoring in 10 games including the last eight games in which he has played.

Kyle Beisch is second on the team averaging 12.8 points per game and leads the team with 27 three-point baskets. He has reached double figures in scoring in 11 games and scored a season-high 21 points against Dickinson State.

Cody is third on the team averaging 12.7 points per game and leads the Beavers averaging 5.29 assists per contest. He has 10 double-figure scoring games and posted a double-double with 15 points and 13 assists in the Beavers last game at MSU Moorhead. His 13 assists tied the Minot State school record for assists in a game in the D2 era.

Aluyi ranks fourth on the team averaging 10.7 points per game and is shooting 57.1 percent from the floor. He also ranks second on the team averaging 6.0 rebounds per game.

Mary enters the game with a 6-5 overall record and a 3-2 mark in the NSIC.
