MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State men's basketball team will venture on the road this weekend for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games at St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth. The Beavers will meet the Huskies on Friday (Jan. 11) at 7:30 p.m. and then face the Bulldogs on Saturday (Jan. 12) at 5:30 p.m.
Minot State, which is 7-10 overall and 2-6 in conference play, dropped both home games to Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State earlier this year. The Beavers lost to the Bulldogs 70-65 and then fell to the Huskies 76-69.
Daivd Akibo is leading the Beavers by averaging 20.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in conference play. Max Cody, Kyle Beisch, and Dorian Aluyi are also all averaging double figure scoring per game in conference play. Coming off with a win this past weekend the Beavers are looking for their first conference road win on the season.
St. Cloud State is 10-4 overall and 5-3 in the NSIC, while Minnesota Duluth currently sports a 7-5 overall record and a 4-4 mark in conference play,
