Beavers Search for Road Victories at UMC, BSU

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State men's basketball teams travels to the state of Minnesota for a pair of NSIC contests this weekend. The Beavers take on Minnesota Crookston on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Bemidji State on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Beavers vs. Minnesota Crookston: Beavers lead all-time series, 25-5.
Last Meeting: Minot State routed the Golden Eagles, 92-61, earlier this season in Minot, N.D. on Jan. 26.

  • David Akibo is fourth in the NSIC in rebounding with 8.0 boards per game while seven in scoring (18.9) and 10 in blocks per game (1.2).
  • Junior Max Cody ranks second among NSIC players with 5.9 assists per game, fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5), seventh in steals per game (1.3) and 11th in field goal percentage (.520).
  • Cody is 27 assists away from tying Luis Ricci Maia's single-season record for most assists in the DII era.
  • Kyle Beisch is second on the team with 14.2 points per game and 15th in the NSIC with 2.2 three-point field goals per game.
  • Minot State is scoring 72.9 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field, including 37.6 percent from beyond the arc and 71.5 percent from the free throw line.
 
Looking Ahead
Minot State returns to the Minot State Dome next weekend for the final two games of the regular season. The Beavers host MSU Moorhead on Friday night before welcoming Northern State on Senior Day at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
