Women's Soccer Finishes Road Weekend with Loss at Augustana

(SIOUX FALLS, S.D.) -- The Beaver women's soccer team finished their weekend on the road with a rain-delayed 3-0 loss at Augustana this afternoon.
 
The Vikings had a productive day on the offensive end with three goals from three different players. Senior forward Grace Behm scored first for Augustana in the 16th-minute with an assist from Erin Schneiderhan. In the 60th-minute, Josie Arduser netted a score with an assist from Sylvia Fehr to make it 2-0 in favor of the Vikings. Roughly one minute later, Arduser and Fehr switched roles as Arduser assisted Fehr for the third and final goal.
 
Minot State had a quiet day on offense with only seven total shots taken. Sofia Lewis attempted three shots and had two on goal to lead the Beavers. Anabel Noches also had two shots to her credit.
 
In goal, Beaver goalkeeper Erin Rafferty made eight saves to go along with the three goals allowed. For Augustana, Claudia Pueschner had her third shutout of the season and made only two saves.
 
Augustana improved their overall and conference records to 5-1-1 and 3-0-1, respectively. The Beavers dropped to 1-6-0 overall and 1-3-0 in NSIC play.
 
Minot State will be back in action during Homecoming weekend at Herb Parker Stadium with Concordia, St. Paul coming to town on Friday, Oct. 4 and Minnesota State visiting on Sunday, Oct. 6.
