Reigning No. 1 ranked Beavers travel to Midland for weekend series

MINOT, ND The Minot State men's hockey team travels to Fremont, Nebraska this weekend to face the Midland University Warriors.

The Beavers come into this matchup as the number one team in the nation, according to an ACHA Division I computer poll, for the second week in a row. Minot State looks to improve their triumphant 7-0-0 record in the two-night competition.

Midland University (#30) has seen an advantage playing on their home ice, winning 71% of all home games so far this season. This is in comparison to the one road victory the Warriors have achieved out of their six opportunities since the beginning of the 2021-2022 season. The Warriors currently hold a record of 6-7-1.

Playing around the puck and breaking each twenty-minute regulation period down into "four five-minute mini games," as head coach Wyatt Waselenchuk noted earlier in the season, will remain key to the Beavers' continued success.

Puck drop for game one is at 7:45p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12th. Game two will begin at 7:30p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13th.
