TUCSON, Ariz. -
Josh Pederson scored with 79 seconds left in the game to complete a dramatic comeback by the second-ranked Minot State men's hockey team which topped host and 14th ranked Arizona 3-2 on Saturday.
The late goal helped the Beavers (19-2-0 overall) erase a 2-0 deficit as the Wildcats scored a pair of first-period goals.
Jared Hamm and
Reid Arnold each scored in the second period as Minot State drew even to set up the dramatic third-period finish.
Davis Sheldon and
Paul O'Connor each assisted on the game winner while Arnold, Hamm, and
Reece Henry also has an assist in the Beavers win.
Riley Wallace finished with 15 saves in goal in the win for the Beavers, who outshot Arizona 40-17.
Minot State next hits the ice outdoors on Saturday, Jan. 22, playing at Jamestown in the Hockey Day North Dakota Outdoor Game.
