EDMOND, Okla. - Last weekend, the Minot State men's hockey team returned to the ice in Fremont, Nebraska, after the holiday break for a 2-game series and triumphed over the Warriors of Midland University. The weekend series against Midland saw the Beavers score nine goals total and win 6-2 and 3-2 in overtime with
Jake Anthony making 20 saves Friday night, and
Riley Wallace making 18 saves Saturday night.
This past Monday also saw the Beavers earn a victory over the Rams of Colorado State University, 7-0. The game started out with an opening goal from
Landyn Cochrane, a hat-trick from Carter Bailey, and another goal each from Cochrane,
Reece Henry, and
Jay Buchholz.
Heading to Oklahoma this weekend for the University of Central Oklahoma Showcase, the Beavers will spar with the 10th-ranked Illinois State University Redbirds (Friday at noon), the 8th-ranked Bronchos of University of Central Oklahoma (Saturday, 7:45 p.m.), and the University of Oklahoma Sooners (Sunday, 2:45 p.m.) for a three game-series.
