MINOT, N.D. – The Beavers are ready to honor their seniors.
The No. 1-ranked Minot State men's hockey team heads to the ACHA National Tournament in Marlborough, Massachusetts next week, but before beginning the chase for a third national title the Beavers will tune-up with a pair of games against in-state rival Jamestown this week and honor nine seniors at the same time.
Thursday night at the Maysa Arena, the Beavers will honor

Connor Navrot,
Davis Sheldon,
Drew Carter,
Wayde Johannesson,
Jake Bestul,
Eric Soar, and
Dalton Dosko during the intermission between the first and second periods when Minot State hosts Jamestown.
Puck drops at 7 p.m. on "Senior Night."
In December, the Beavers honored fellow senior
Jagger Thiessen who concluded his playing career during Minot State's three-game series against visiting Central Oklahoma.
Prior to Thursday's special game, which not only is the final home game for Minot State's seniors but the regular-season finale, as well, the Beavers play at Jamestown on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The two-game series wraps up an eight-game, season-long series between two of the top-ranked ACHA programs with No. 1-ranked Minot State holding a 6-0 record against the 7
th-ranked Jimmies this winter.
In that series so far this season, several of the Minot seniors have enjoyed success as Carter has four goals, including a hat trick in a 5-2 win on Oct. 29, and three assists against the Jimmies, while Sheldon has two goals and five assists.
Navrot has added three goals and an assist, Cochrane two goals and an assist, Soar a goal and two assists, and Johannesson two assists against Jamestown.
Meanwhile, Minot State's leading scorer this season, junior
Carter Barley (18 goals, 36 assists) has six assists against the Jimmies, while leading goal-scorer freshman
Joey Moffatt (19 goals, 26 assists) has five goals and three assists versus Jamestown.
Minot State sophomore goalie
Jake Anthony, who is 20-3-0 this season with a 1.79 goals against average, has posted two of his four shutouts this season against Jamestown.
As for the Jimmies, who celebrated their "Senior Night" back on Feb. 12 despite Wednesday being the team's home finale, they are led by freshman Brad Fortin, who is the top scorer with 13 goals and 25 assists, while freshman Jordan Baranesky is the team's top goal-scorer with 20 goals and 16 assists.
