MINOT, N.D. - The Minot State Beavers men's hockey team is gearing up for an exciting two-game series against in-state rival #5 University of Jamestown. The Beavers will face the Jimmies on Friday, December 6, at 3:30 pm in Jamestown, North Dakota, before returning home for game two on Saturday, December 7, at 7:30 pm at the All Seasons Arena on the ND State Fairgrounds in Minot, North Dakota.
The #4-ranked Beavers come into the weekend with a record of 14-2-2. The Jimmies, ranked #5, hold a record of 15-2-0, setting up a marquee showdown between two of the top teams in the country. This series marks the third and fourth meetings between these fierce rivals this season, with the teams splitting their first two match-ups. In their most recent encounter on November 12, 2024, Minot State defeated Jamestown in convincing fashion with a 6-1 victory, ending the Jimmies' unbeaten streak on the season.
Historically, the Beavers have the edge in this rivalry with a record of 23-4 against Jamestown, but the Jimmies' recent form and home-ice advantage on Friday promise a thrilling contest.
