MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State cross-country teams will enjoy a rare treat this season: Twice.
The Beavers announced their 2024 schedule and Minot State twice will compete at home at the Souris Valley Golf Course, hosting the Minot State Conference Preview meet in early October amd then hosting the NSIC Championship on Saturday, Oct. 26.
"I'm really excited to have a couple of home dates this year and super grateful for the opportunity to host the NSIC Championship on our home turf," said Minot State's second-year head coach Steven Schultz.
Along with hosting the NSIC Championships on October 26 at a time yet to be determined, the Beavers also will be hosting a meet on Saturday, October 5, at Souris Valley Golf Course in conjunction with a local high school meet. Times are yet to be set for the October 5 event.
Those two major events for Minot State highlight a season that starts on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Marauder Invitational hosted by the University of Mary at McDowell Dam in Bismarck, North Dakota.
The Beavers then head to one of the biggest events in the country, the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on September 20.
Then it is home for the next two events for the Beavers who host the Minot State Conference Preview meet on Saturday, Oct. 5, and then the NSIC Championship on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Following the homestand, Minot State heads to Joplin, Missouri for the NCAA Central Region Championship on November 9 and will look for a big day at regionals with the goal of qualifying for the NCAA National Championship in Sacramento, California, on November 23.
