FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Minot State runners 
Bailey Wride and 
Paulette Dominguez finished a slim 2-seconds apart, powering a strong performance by the Beaver women's cross-country team that saw four runners turn in top-100 performances at the Roy Griak Invitational.
That strong team effort helped Minot State finish 11
th out of 24 teams in the non-NCAA Division I portion of one of the biggest cross-country meets in the nation.
The Minot State men were led by 
Grayson Bonilla who finished 110
th in the men's race as the Beaver men placed 23
rd as a team.
Wride led the way for the Minot State women as she finished 30
th overall on the 6-kilometer course in 24 minutes, 6.4 seconds, just a few strides ahead of teammate, Dominguez, who was 31
st in 24:08.1.
Sparked by their performance, the Minot State women scored 295 team points to finish 11
th.
NSIC rivals Augustana and the University of Mary finished one-two in the team standings with the Vikings scoring 45 points and the Marauders scoring 91 points.
Mary was led by Alyssa Becker who was the individual race champion as she clocked a time of 21:54.5.
While Wride and Dominguez led the Minot State charge, they were closely followed by teammates 
Sidra Sadowsky and 
Nicole Reeves who added top-100 finishes themselves as Sadowsky was 78th in 24:57.4 and Reeves was 90th in 25:18.4.
Rounding out the team scores for Minot State, and just missing a top-100 finish, was 
Emery Smith who was 104th in 25:30.2.
Also racing for the Beaver women were 
Afton Wride, who was 184th in 26:57.2, and 
Addyson Wendt, who was 235
th in 28:16.6.
On the men's side, Bonilla led the way finishing the 8K course in 28:22.8 for the Beavers who scored 628 team points.
Augustana's Ryan Hartman won the men's individual title for the non-Division I teams, finishing the 8K course in 25:16.1, while Northwest Missouri won the team title with 36 points.
Next for Minot State behind Bonilla was 
Marco Murillo, who finished 174th in 29:06.1 in Friday's race, then 
Yoni Neyshtadt, who was 179th in 29:12.3, 
Nikita Neyshtadt, who was 298th in 31:49.2, and 
Zander Grover rounded out the team scores finishing 308th in 32:09.0.
Also racing for the Beaver men were 
Isaac Rathbun, who was 320th in 33:11.6, and 
Auston Lemer, who was 331st in 34:17.0.
Having wrapped up one of the biggest meets of their season, the Beavers now return home to host the NSIC Preview at the Souris Valley Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 5.
