MINOT, N.D. - The #2 ranked Minot State Beavers men's hockey team score 12 goals in their 12-3 victory on Saturday, January 11, to sweep the two-game series against Iowa State University. With the win, the Beavers improve to 23-2-3, while Iowa State drops to 5-16-1 on the season.
Minot State scored two goals in the first period to take a 2-0 lead. The first goal was scored by
Reid Arnold on the power play at 14:52 into the period. The second goal was scored by
Sheldin Howard on the power play at 16:40 into the period. Minot State's goalie,
Mason Kelly, held Iowa State scoreless in the first period, tallying 7 saves on 7 shots on goal.
