• Two-time NAIA All-American in the javelin
• Earned two District 12 Championships (1981 and 1982) and one NDCAC Championship (1981) in the javelin
• Placed third overall in javelin at the 1981 NAIA National Championship in Houston, Texas
• Placed third overall in javelin at the 1982 NAIA National Championship in Charleston, W.V.
• Minot State record holder in the javelin with a toss of 235-feet-1
• Named team captain in 1982 and scored 117 points in 14 meets for the Beavers
