THIS WEEK: Minot State returns to Herb Parker Stadium for the first time in three weeks to take on Minnesota Duluth beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday.
RECORDS: Minot State is 1-4 overall, 1-4 in NSIC play and is 0-1 in the NSIC North Division. Minnesota Duluth is 4-1, 4-1 and 1-0.
COACHES CORNER: Minot State's head coach is
Tyler Hughes, who is in his third season at the helm. He is 3-24 at Minot State and 23-28 overall as a head coach. UMD's Curt Wiese has found success early and often at UMD, going 37-7 in his fourth season.

RANKINGS: Minnesota Duluth received votes in the American Football Coaches Association Top 25 poll and were the 19th ranked team in the D2Football.com Top 25 this week. MSU was not ranked in either poll.
RECENT HISTORY: The Beavers kept making big plays, but dug themselves too big of a hole in a 41-28 loss at Northern State Saturday. MSU trailed NSU 28-7 at half, but scored 21 points in the second.
Jarvis Mustipher scored twice on short runs and
Isaiah Weed tossed two long TD passes in the loss. UMD scored 35 points in the first half and held off a late charge by MSU Moorhead to win 42-34. Drew Bauer continued an impressive season with 232 yards passing and four TDs.
OVERALL SERIES: Minot State trails the all-time series 4-0 as the two teams began playing eachother in MSU's first season in the NSIC in 2012.
LAST TIME OUT: The Beavers pushed UMD over much of the first 35 minutes in a 36-10 loss at Duluth in the season finale last year. The Beavers led 7-2 after the first quarter and 10-8 at half, before UMD scored 21 in the third.
Isaiah Weed led the BEavers with 70 yards rushing and 95 yards passing.
NOTING THE BULLDOGS: Minnesota Duluth had rolled to some impressive offensive numbers this season, scoring at least 34 poitns in all five games and hitting at least 41 points in the past three... UMD has churned up 1,300 yards rushing and 1,403 passing for 2,703 overall... The Bulldogs, however, have given up 2,290 yards on the season... Drew Bauer is one of the top quarterbacks in NCAA Division II throwing for 1,387 yards and 13 TDs, while completing 62 percent of his passes. He is second on the team in rushing with 446 overall.
NOTING THE BEAVERS: MSU's offense came to life a little Saturday as MSU used big plays to finished with 28 total points, its best of 2016... QB

Cordell Pimienta on a 70-yard strike early in the second half to bolster the offensive numbers... Weed has 911 yards passing and 4 TDs on 63 percent completions this season... Walker is averaging 18 yards a catch and leads MSU with 379 yards receiving...
Jarvis Mustipher doubled his rushing TD total last week with two on the ground...
