(MINOT, ND) -- On Thursday, September 3, the Minot State University Football team starts their season. They do not begin it easily; however, as they travel to one of the traditional Northern Sun powerhouses in the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
LAST TIME THEY MET (August 30, 2018): Minot State hopes for a better outcome this time around as UMD defeated Minot State 49-3.
RETURNERS: The Beavers return several starters from last year's team and are looking to take the next step in year three under Mike Aldrich.
In year three, the Beavers return starters at Quarterback, two wide receivers, and the entire offensive line. On the defensive side of the ball, they bring back the entire defensive line as well as returning four linebackers who had starting experience last season.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-DULUTH: Duluth enters the season picked to win the NSIC North Division and second overall in the Northern Sun according to the preseason coaches' poll. They have won the North division or a share of it every year since 2011.
