BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Minot State men's golf team opened the 2024 NSIC Men's Golf Championship with a solid start on Thursday, finishing Day 1 tied for 4th place with a team score of 18-over 306 at Adams Pointe Golf Club.

Leading the charge for the Beavers was Winston Grayson, who delivered a steady round of 1-over 73 to sit in 7th place individually after the opening 18 holes. Grayson's performance helped keep Minot State in striking distance of the top of the leaderboard heading into Friday's second round.

Zach Hendrickson is just one shot back, carding a 2-over 74 to close the day in 9th place.

Jace Carlisle sits in 26th after posting a 7-over 79, while Chase Gedak (8-over 80) and Darien Herlick (10-over 82) round out the Day 1 team scoring in 31st and 40th place, respectively.

Bemidji State leads the team standings with a 6-over 294, and their own Logan Schoepp holds the individual lead after carding 4-under 68.
