MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State baseball team wraps up their home schedule this weekend, as the Beavers play their final home games of the season vs. Upper Iowa in a four-game series beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Corbett Field. The series concludes on Sunday with a doubleheader starting at noon.

Minot State is 21-6 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play after suffering two losses in a doubleheader (8-9, 3-8) at St. Cloud State on Wednesday.
Sophomore
Trevaun Smith led the Beavers with six hits and three home runs in the doubleheader at SCSU.
Minot State is hitting .287 as a team with 254 runs, 328 hits, 81 doubles, six triples and 43 home runs on the season.
Michael Borst leads Minot State in hitting at .346, followed by
Celestino Rodriguez (.343) and
Justin Demary (.341).
Doll leads the NSIC with eight home runs while also ranked sixth with 35 RBIs on the season.
Rodriguez has posted seven home runs, followed by Smith with five home runs while
Kyle Williamson,
Wyatt Schlosser and Demary have added four home runs apiece.
Jaymon Cervantes is 4-0 on the season after tossing a complete-game two-hitter last weekend vs. Sioux Falls.
Scouting the Upper Iowa Peacocks
Upper Iowa enters the weekend with a 14-17 overall record and 12-13 mark in the NSIC. Jacob Greco paces the Peacock offense with a team-high four home runs. Callahan Seehase leads UIU in hitting with a .346 while Zackary Cain has registered a team-high 24 RBIs. On the mound, Ryan Munoz is 4-1 with a 4.50 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 34 innings of work this season.
As a team, the Peacocks are hitting .284 with 157 runs, 265 hits, 48 doubles, six triples, 12 home runs and 130 RBIs.The Upper Iowa pitching staff has a team ERA of 6.06 while surrendering 156 earned runs on 310 hits and striking out 167 opposing batters.
Head coach Brandon Hunt is in his second season at the helm of the Peacock program and holds a 33-46 career record.

Minot State leads the all-time series with Upper Iowa, 8-6. In their last meeting, Minot State edged the Peacocks 7-6 in 12 innings in Fayette, Iowa on May 6, 2017.
